Leadership Workshops

Yesterday, Youth Taking Root hosted its first leadership workshop. Patricia Wright spoke to the participants about the keys to effective public speaking, and how spoken/verbal delivery, non-verbal delivery and picking topics you’re passionate about all contribute to better speeches and presentations. After her presentation, each participant was asked to use the tips and resources they were given to give a short speech on a topic of their choosing. Everyone learned a lot, and found new ways to improve their public speaking. We would like to thank Patricia who gave a phenomenal presentation and taught us how to be more confident when speaking in front of larger audiences. We would also like to thank NGen for partnering with us for this workshop.
